  • Do I need to make a reservation?
    During our season (May 1 – September 30) reservations would be a good idea. We have 66 sites that we accept reservations for in advance. It is not uncommon to be 100% booked on weekends 4-8 weeks in advance and a year in advance for some holiday weekends. We are not yet taking reservations over the internet. Drop-ins are welcome. Our on-site office is open during the season from 9am-5pm. For reservations please call us at 530-284-7697.
  • Are water-skiing, jet-skis, and personal watercraft permitted?
    Yes. In the summer, the surface temperature of the clear water hovers around a very comfortable 75 degrees F.
  • Are there daily activities?
    Yes. Daily activities are offered in the game room. All 3 holiday weekends are activities. On Mother's Day and Father's Day, a pancake breakfast is offered for all campers.
  • What are the amenities at Lake Cove Resort?
    We offer lakefront, lakeside, and woodsy spaces. All guests are allowed access to the beach area, boat dock (slips are available to rent), the children’s playground, restrooms, laundry facility, small library, and recreation building.
  • Are campfires permitted?
    Campfires are allowed up off the ground. Up to that point, we rent fire pits for: $5.00 - Day, $10.00 - 3 Days, $20.00 - Week, $50 - Month. Firewood is also available for sale. Propane and briquette fires are allowed up off the ground.
  • Does Lake Cove Resort rent cabins?
    We offer an A-frame house for rent as well as our Cozy Cabin, or Trailer. For more information see our Cabin page.
  • What are the check-in and check-out times?
    Check-out time for rentals is 11AM. Check-in time for rentals is 2PM. Check-out time for RV & Tent sites is noon and check-in time is 2PM.
  • Does Lake Cove Resort have Wifi?
    Yes. We offer free wireless hot spot behind or in front of the office.
  • What is the elevation of Lake Cove Resort?
    We are about 4500 ft. above sea level.
  • Is there cell phone coverage at Lake Cove Resort?
    AT&T is spotty throughout the campground, but there are many spots that will get a weak but usable signal. Verizon has a strong signal throughout the campground.
  • What is a seasonal rental?
    It's like having a vacation home for the summer. Work during the week and come and stay on the weekend.
